As a wedding photographer, I have a very unique honor to see the whole day unfold. I get to witness the calm as the day begins, the excitement and the giddy energy as they get ready, and the nerves as the ceremony approaches. I get to be present during the quiet, intimate moments of the first look. The anticipation for the walk down the aisle. And the pure joy as the two become one. That first kiss as husband and wife. It gets me every time!! At every single wedding!

So, if you were to ask me what stood out about this specific wedding, there would be no hesitation. Kindness! The way the bride and groom and their families treated each other, their guests, and their vendors says a lot about their character. On what can be a pretty stressful, chaotic day, Allie and Dalton's kindness, joy, and love trumped everything else. And I think their kindness stems from their strong faith. Seeing this in action just made the day brighter and sweeter. I loved watching them pray with each other throughout the day; in intimate groups, one-on-one, and as a whole family. As the two families prayed over Allie and Dalton during the ceremony, coming together and alongside the bride and groom, you could see how important that moment was to them. How they would remember it for the rest of their lives. What a gift!

Allie and Dalton, congratulations!!! I feel so honored I got to capture all the moments of your day. My hope is that one day down the road, when you've been married 50 years, you can look back on this day and not only remember how beautiful everything was, but remember how you felt during these amazing moments! Continue praying together and living life alongside those that can spur you on in your individual walks and, now, your walk together. Love and blessings to you both!!!
